Helena Johnson spent the early years of her childhood living on a military post in Virginia with her mother, father, and older brother before moving to San Antonio, Texas where she would grow up. Helena was a dancer for most of her life and was always working to balance her studies and dance life, which were her two biggest passions. Often traveling to new places and visiting relatives in New York City, Helena always knew she wanted to move to the city and did so at age 18 when she was accepted into NYU. Discovered while walking along Fifth Avenue after class, Helena began her modeling career, something she had always dreamed of. Prior to being discovered, Helena worked as a public relations intern at Lali + Layla, a clothing and swimwear company in New York City. Having always loved both art and fashion, she designed her own major at NYU entitled The History of Fashion and Art, which she currently studies. Since middle school Helena has been working with special needs children, helping them develop their academic and social skills, which she still enjoys doing.
